The inspiration for creating our slippers were the therapeutic properties of sheepskin that have been known for many centuries. During our hikes across the European mountain trails, we met many old shepherds that taught us about the peaceful nature of sheep and the many uses of their wool. We decided to create all of our slippers entirely out of the highest quality sheepskins and lambskin hide, as well as wool from autumn sheering, as then the fibres are the longest and contain the most solar energy. Sheepskin is a true nature’s treasure, which calms our bodies and positively affects our well-being. The fur fibres are five times thinner than human hair, which is why it holds it’s fluffiness and resilience. It naturally helps regulate our body’s temperature, keeping us warm in winter and cool in the summer. It also has humidity-controlling properties, protecting you from dryness and regulating sweat production. Sheepskin does not absorb water, creating a water-repelling effect, which helps your feet breath and stay sweat-free. The large amount of keratin and lanolin in the fur neutralises harmful substances and reduces their intensive smell. Sheepskin has the capability to reduce our pain, kill certain bacteria and it’s a natural bio-filter that gets rid off dangerous chemicals in small enclosed rooms. It can even shield us from unhealthy electromagnetic waves, which nowadays surround us everywhere. We could talk a lot more about these wonderful properties of natural sheepskin, but in the meantime we encourage you to discover their wonders by wearing our products and soon you will feel a difference in comfort and your well-being. For any of you that would like to learn more about sheepskin and its use, we highly recommend Prof. Dr. Gustav Jäger’s literature. He discovered the powerful properties of this natural material. Thank you for choosing our products and we encourage you to take a look at the rest of our collection of slippers!
